My name is IYA
My first Christmas | Iya's (mis)adventures

Mel and Mia's princess,
   YSABEL LOUISE  CANTARA ASCALON
             is here!!!

IYA has arrived! Our little bundle of joy has made us so proud we're happy to share her birth and milestones with you. We hope you enjoy viewing her page as much as we loved putting it up.

Iya's birth was special. She was born via Cesarean delivery. Her mommy's OB (all 3 of them) were her batchmates in her residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Philippine General Hospital and her anesthesiologist was none other than Iya's dad (who left mommy's side when Iya came out). Her pediatrician was a batchmate of her mom in Medical School.

Just like IYA, this website is also a work in progress.
So please bear with us.

Mel and Mia wish to thank some very special people in their lives:

Lolo Val and Lola Luming - who were surprised Iya came out already (she was not expected until after another week)

Lola Doring and Lola Zeny, Nanay Inday and Lolo Ben - who were just as excited

Grandpa Oscar and Grandma Doris - who loved Iya even before they saw her in person

Drs. Onnie Almoro, Navi Franco, and Gladys Tanangonan - who made sure Iya came out just in the nick of time

Dr. Ces Alinea - who resuscitated Iya and made sure she was breathing properly

Drs. Ed Simon and Alda Tanquilut - who were with Mel for moral support

And all our friends and relatives who offered their support (physically and spiritually).
